Online poker has become world famous as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in fact a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years many variants on the original poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to 21 than long-standing poker, in that the players wager against the bank rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is little bluffing or other kinds of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up prior to the croupier saying "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the other gamblers attain five cards. After you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s first card, you have to in turn make a call bet or surrender. The call bet’s amount is akin to your original bet, indicating that the risks will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your wager goes directly to the dealer. After the bet comes the showdown. If the casino does not have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, including a sum equal to the ante. If the house does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The bank pays out chips even with your original bet and set expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:

• Even for a pair or high card
• two to one for two pairs
• 3-1 for 3 of a kind
• four to one for a straight
• five to one for a flush
• 7-1 for a full house
• 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
• 50-1 for a straight flush
• one hundred to one for a royal flush
