Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient ancestry. Founded on the ancient Chinese domino game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the east with the western in an excellent game for early level players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player vs. the croupier, unlike almost all other poker games that gamblers play with other players. By playing against the dealer, starting players don’t have to be concerned about other, more skillful gamblers winning their money.

An additional Pai Gow edge is the relatively leisurely game pace, newcomers should be able to take their time and scheme without having to make frenzied selections.

It is also easier to wager on for a long time with only a small bit of money after all, to lose, both of your hands must be lower than both of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card common deck and a single joker. The gambler is dealt seven cards faces showing and the dealer receives 7 cards face down.

A 5 card hand and a two card hand have to be made from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand must be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be higher than the casino’s.
