Have you seen the new PokerPro texas hold em poker tables? The first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about three weeks ago when I took a short vacation with my wife to the WinStar Gambling den in Oklahoma.

As I waited for my name to be summoned at the live tables, I watched how the other people around the PokerPro tables interface with each other. It was quite interesting to say the very least. Because the poker table was computer controlled, there were no poker chips to do any chip tricks, no cards to shuffle and the real live experience was stale. Perhaps I was the only one that discovered this, except I did observe the players in the table had a dull quality to them. The reason for this might be since there was no human interaction with the croupier, the ambiance was relatively boring and the players looked bored to death. It was nearly as if I was looking at a live version of a web based texas hold’em poker room instead of being seated with hot bodied humans. It was a little bit freaky and I continued to have flash backs to an episode of ST:TNG and the holodeck malfunctioned.

Since the waiting time for the reside tables for more than an hour, I made a decision to see how the game play was and to encounter this new texas hold em poker gaming technology. After betting a couple of hands, I truly felt like I was playing at house. The lack of activity in the table was the main reason. I like to shuffle my chips, stack my chips, and mix my cards about. None of those items are feasible at these electronic tables.

Another thing I discovered was how the computer dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I bet a lot of hands in the PokerPro table and noticed that the bet on was a great deal like a web-based hold’em poker website. That could have been just a coincidence, but I found it to be incredibly odd.

Following betting a couple of rounds with this "unique holdem poker technology", I decided that the PokerPro tables have been not for me. I’m better off betting texas hold em poker online at home and not travel the distance. If WinStar Betting house had been to acquire rid of the are living poker tables, I think they’d shed a great deal of gamblers.
