Poker Calculator Report: Hold’em Pirate … Holdem Hawk Barred by Poker Stars
by Mayra on Dec.25, 2010, under Poker
Since the Party Poker collapse last fall, Poker Stars has emerged as the undeniable head in sheer numbers of internet based poker players. They’ve the biggest tournaments, the most lively tables, the largest money games, and also the fastest filling up sit down and go tournaments on line. With that comes power – the strength to select your partners, online marketers, and nearer to our point; acceptable computer software.
Long have I been promoting Hold em Hawk and Hold em Pirate (they are truly the same) poker calculators as easy to use and visibly pleasing poker calculators. Recently though, these items have pressed the limits of suitable use, a minimum of inside the view of Poker Stars, and therefore have been forbidden from use on that site. This is depressing news, as a reasonable product, not unlike a number of of the suitable computer software allowed by Stars, is now essentially grounded because the largest poker internet site on the planet thinks it is too closely connected to an Operative Poker Calculator.
An Operative Poker Calculator is just like a secret advisor operating for you, collecting and mining player information that it is possible to use against them at a later date. The thing is, you don’t have to be at the table for this to occur. The software program (database) is working all the time for you. For the majority of poker sites, which is over the line of fairness, just as in real life also.
Except Holdem Pirate and Holdem Hawk are truly Empirical Poker Calculators, just the same as Holdem Indicator is. These varieties of poker calculators only collect data on your opponents when you are at the table, just like you had been betting in a live situation.
So why the Poker Stars Smack? Here’s a real forewarning I received from Poker Stars while running Hold em Pirate:
Following a review of your account, we discover that you’re running an external software program knownas Poker Sherlock, or its related applications, Poker Edge, PokerBotPro, Holdem Hawk and Holdem Pirate……PokerStars shall be permitted to take such action as it sees fit, such as instantly preventing access to the Games to such User, closing such User’s account with PokerStars and confiscating all funds held in the relevant Poker Stars "actual cash account".
Hey, did you notice the "appropriating all money" line? That is what you may do whenever you are this big!
The "related applications" is the origin of the problem. The business that created Hawk and Pirate also produce Poker Edge and PokerBotPro, which are data miners. Actually, I think that Stars thinks Hawk and Pirate actually gather data for these related programs, while appearing like an Empirical Poker Calculator on the surface.
So therein lies the root of the problem. If you take place to bet on on Stars and have Hawk or Pirate, you’re out of luck, as I have tried to change this judgment. I received a polite response from the staff at Poker Stars, except truly, it’s not likely to alter. The good news though is that Hold em Indicator has been added to Poker Stars appropriate software checklist, and it’s the only empirical calculator to be accepted by them.
